I am a social worker, nonprofit leader, educator, and researcher. Since 2006, I have worked in service of family and child wellbeing. I have experience with direct service, program design, organizational development, and teaching about justice in social work. Currently, I support the practce and profesional growth of more than 900 staffers at the nation’s largest victim’s service organization as the head of Learning at Safe Horizon in New York City.
I received my bachelor’s in social work from Prairie View A&M University in Texas and a master’s in social work from Columbia University. I received my Ph.D. at the City University of New York. As a public scholar, my research explores artificial intelligence, ethics, and racialized surveillance in the family policing (aka “child welfare”) system and other areas of public interest.
